The reservoirs in Mt. Tabor Park are a source of beauty and controversy. To many of us, the reservoirs are part of what makes the park so special.
As many of you already know, the City of Portland is disconnecting the reservoirs from the the city’s water supply system, and the neighbors have voiced concerns over the way the City of Portland has approached this project. Thanks to the work of the neighborhood associations, many of the old trees will be saved during the work to disconnect the water lines.
I hope the reservoirs will be filled again after the work is done!
Thanks Tyrannocaster for the beautiful shot of one of the beloved reservoirs.
